As some of you know I was working at the CN Tower last summer for a month or so, and just in case you’re wondering if I was one of them elevator people, as everyone tends to ask; no I wasn’t, I was working with Sharp Shooter Imaging taking “souvenir” photos that are superimposed with the Tower and Toronto skyline on the backdrop. Or if you were fortunate enough to afford a meal at 360 the tower’s famous rotating restaurant, you would pass by me to get your photo taken, with the restaurant as the backdrop.
All in all, it was a great job, a perfect summer job, at least for me, for 2 reasons 1)I was interacting with people coming from all over 2) I get to see beautiful Toronto skyline and Lake Ontario everyday; morning time, sunset and night time and I tell you, I never got tired of it. That I was working at the restaurant was extra lucky, some nights the view from there was just so breathtaking, although sometimes making me want to sob when I’d be exhausted and sleep deprived, just wishing I could be having a nice meal there with my special person or my mum. Also, in my opinion, working there, at least that summer, gave me a good feel of Toronto and its makeup. The people I worked with some students others not, but from different walks of life and backgrounds, which reminds me of back home. I just need to be around such diversity and that is most definitely one of the reasons why I am thankful that I ended up in Toronto.
To top it all, being an employee there, I had a special security badge that allowed me to get to so many other wonderful places for free/ with a good discount and sometimes with one guest; the AGO, ROM, Bata shoe museum, just to name a few and of course the tower itself.
After my last day at work and just before I had to give back my badge and all that comes with it, I had my CN tower experience and literally did everything you could do there. I went to the observation level, glass floor and the sky pod. I watched the 3D movie on the Ultimate wave Tahiti and rode on the motion theater ride called Himalazon :p and just before heading out I got my very own CN tower photo.
Mind you, since I have been there before, winter 2010, the photos of Toronto are from that winter, thinking about it now, it is a shame that I did not take any photos that day, since Toronto is beautiful in summer.

Just wanted to say that it was just great speaking and seeing you on skype last night.
Btw wanted to ask you, one of the pictures below i.e. the statue of multiculturalism...wanted to ask how is the statue supposed to portray and depict multiculturalism? Is there some information or a story behind that?
@ Naveed:
Hey! it was great catching up and seeing you...definitely need to talk more often :)
About the monument, I do think that the man holding the globe would symbol multiculturalism in that we are all humans and citizens of planet earth regardless of our nationality, religion, race or gender. But since you asked, I looked it up and found this website

Also the pictures there do the statue more justice than mine :p
