Winter Greetings

SN856647 (640x480)

Last weekend, on a Sunday morning, I woke up to a land of snow and mighty was I excited. I have held my bets that it would not snow until December and I was right. I just wanted it to snow when the season starts so it’d feel perfect that way.

I also had other exciting things planned to commemorate the start of December, such as wearing my down jackets as I made a vow to not wear them until then, and I laying out my rugs. I absolutely love my room now, it is pretty and cozy!! It would be nice to have a quilt that matches with the color scheme, but oh well it still is beautiful to my eyes Smile

So wherever you are, I wish you a happy, warm and safe winter; one filled with hot chocolates, snuggles and delicious food.

That’s the park I walk through on my way home from school.

But that wasn’t it for me. Yesterday on my way back home from school it was snowing plenty, big nice snowy flakes. I tell you there isn’t a greater feeling than walking while it is snowing. If you are wondering how you can put a smile on your face while walking then that is just it. The feeling is wonderful, I haven’t felt that excited in quite a while. Snow is so much fun, whenever you please and have the urge, you can dig into the ground for a handful of snow and play around.

You can finally see me with the winter clothing my loving mum got me, she knows just what I need. While I am out I am thankful every single time. So here is one the jackets she got me, along with boots and the gloves, they are the best! I couldn’t have enjoyed the snow without them. I love you mum!

And to be in accordance with the season, I have changed the look on the blog, it is of a picture I have taken, I hope you like it too. I tried my best to choose the best picture keeping it simple and not too crowded.

Some more pictures of the first snow fall! Enjoy Smile

Everything's Amazing and Nobody is Happy?!

My mum shared this video with me, and she said that not too many people on her Facebook liked it. I tell her that I think that if they did not like it, it is because they either don't have a sense of humor or feel talked about in that video :p

It is quite funny, and I completely agree with him. Every now and then I am thankful for things I have. If you ever see my list of the things I am grateful for in my life, amongst many other things, I actually have the Internet, laptop and mp3 listed there. Also, I can't explain as to how many times I have rolled my eyes at people in the subway, especially the teenagers, when they get frustrated with their phones and blackberries. Sometimes hearing them talk makes me sound like my parents as I think to myself, what has happened to this generation, are they not thankful? and are they our "tomorrow's leaders" I do say this with a joke, realizing my dramatization of the situation..but you know what I mean!!

At the end of the day we all act as impatient :p and I am the first one when it comes to my slow computer... so I hope you like the video, it is a good laugh :)

The foliage of Fall

I wrote a post telling you how beautiful summer is in Canada and probably a post before that telling you how anxiously I was waiting for summer, and I also wrote a post showing you all 4 seasons in Canada, but I think I will take the time now to tell and show you how refreshing, leaf-kicking, messy and peaceful Fall is in Canada.

Fall is the season that has you getting out early in the morning saying “it’s good to be in Canada”. The foliage starts ranging in color from green to red, yellow and orange and the temperature starts dropping mid September, giving you some really wet cloudy days with a tease of sunny days, with a high of 10C, and some weeks of randomly fluctuating temperatures. Days start getting shorter with sunrise starting at 7am (after daylight saving time) and sunset starting at 10 to 5pm.

So here are pictures of my neighborhood which I haven’t showed you before, this is a park about 5 mins walk from my place and is where I first started peddling on my bike, by the small hill on the basketball court. Also, I walk through here at least twice, every day, on my way to school and back. Do pardon me for taking photos much later into the season after all the leaves have fallen. Fall is also a good time to take a good look at home designs as the trees are bare, something I also enjoy doing on my walks. So I thought I’d share with you some of my everyday life moments :)

Of course with that many leaves falling, someone has to rake them, so I have only had the time to rake that much last Sunday

And this is the view of fall from my window :)
